Generator - Load bank test
The CSA-282 standards require that all emergency generators undergo an annual two-hour, full load test. This test is increasingly requested by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec, insurance companies and fire departments. We perform this test by connecting a load bank to your generator and applying the desired load. This test allows us to verify your generator's effectiveness under its maximum load capacity and to prevent wet stacking* in diesel engines.
* Wet stacking (diesel engines)
Insufficient diesel combustion causes unburned fuel to accumulate in the exhaust pipe. This problem is common when diesel engines operate for long periods with little or no load and do not reach their optimum temperature. Load bank tests are recommended to help remedy the situation.
